Fantastic trail loads of scenic views. Also very popular so expect to see lots of other hikers.
This is an amazing location to venture through the woods to see Lake Michigan. Although I had a difficult time finding it as I was heading north on M-22, not sure if it's not marked well or what. Anyways just remember to turn left onto Wilco Road which is before the town of Empire. I highly recommend stopping and exploring this trail!!!
If I could give it ten stars I would. If you can make it for the sunset you will not be disappointed!
Super easy, peaceful walk through the woods. Not too much elevation change, and stair ledges are present when there is. Beautiful view at the end, which almost seems like a steal since the hike was so easy! My only complaint is that there is only one outhouse here, and the line was several people long when we got there and when we left.
